I've got five briefs and one misdemeanor trial left to finish in this big work push before the Country Fair, and then I'll be onsite for 13 days. I'm not going to be online a whole lot during that period (through July 14). I look forward to catching up with everyone thereafter -- but most of all, if you can come to the Fair, do it!

We're on vacation seeing family and friends for the next 10 days and won't be online much. I look forward to catching up with you folks thereafter. Enjoy yourselves meanwhile!

But I'm not going to abandon this medium or anything like that. For a while, instead, I've been spending my personal writing time doing lots of enjoyable emailing with a new friend, discussing various issues of mutual interest. My LJ time has been chiefly confined to reading. Plus my mom and grandma have been visiting, and I've been trying to work at work (there is some serious fucking shit coming down the pike in some of my clients' lives. Each day I get more committed to this work). Plus lots of fun time with the highly energetic WD. We were out to Ya Hala tonight. There is a toddler who seriously loves her tomatoes!

OCDLA this Thursday-Saturday. Andy and I are throwing our big party Thursday night. Friday I give my maiden conference talk. Saturday morning we're off again to skip over the mountains and savor two days onsite, which will be hugely rewarding.

Hi, all. I haven't been posting here much because I've been very busy being the daddy, continuing the process of adapting to my major felony caseload, going to Oregon Country Fair meetings, and most recently doing some Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers' Association continuing legal education activities in Salem. I'll post something interesting when I think of it.

It ain't gonna be very steep, just to warn y'all.
